THE TECHNICAL
You get a bottle of 100% polyethylene oxide (aka glycol) granules. As far as I can tell, this is the only UK consumer brand where that is the case. This means there are none of the potential skin/gastric (mucous mebrane) irritants commonly found in intimate lubes: Spermicides, preservatives, anaesthetics, antimicrobials, acids, sugars/polysaccharides/prebiotics, plant extracts, plant gums, perfumes, etc.
This is as hypoallergenic as a water-based lube can possibly be. If you have sensitive skin, this is the lube for you.
I was worried that without soluble dispersants (usually polysaccharides) X-Lube would be difficult to mix. I was wrong. If you follow the instructions on the bottle it mixes perfectly with no lumps and no mess.
As there are no preservatives, the lube you make up will have a very limited shelf life. Think: how long would you leave a glass of tap water on the side, then still drink it? As it’s so convenient to mix, I recommend making little and often.
A very small quantity makes a lot of lube. I’m making up about 100ml each go, and the bottle is going to last me a very long time. Probably 2 years approx.

PERFORMANCE
The lube performs extremely well. As an intimate lube this is perfect. Whatever concentration you make up it will be very very slippery.
It will take some trial and error to get the ideal proportions for your use. Too much powder and it will be stringier than you are used too. Too little and it will slip around and practically jump out of your hand. The dosage recommendation on the bottle is a good starting point.
Like any good water-based lube, if it starts to dry out, you’re better off reactivating what’s left on your skin with a little warm water than adding more.
The lube is genuinely 100% odourless, tasteless & non-numbing. I’ve never had anything like it.
I use lube both for intimacy and inserting body jewelry. It’s perfect for intimacy, but for body jewelry it really sucks. It is far too slippery, and comically so. You can’t grip anything small with this on your hands.
DO NOT spill it on a hard floor. If you do, I’ve got no idea how to clean it up. This stuff is SLIPPERY. I would love to get hold of wet and dry spillage cleanup instructions from the manufacturer, or ideally a whole manufacturer safety data sheet (MSDS).
I’ve not been this impressed by any product in a long time. A most emphatic 5 stars.

I’ve used the brand Buttr and their lubricants for ages, I thought nothing could be better. I was totally wrong, this stuff is great. Soon as it arrives I mixed up a batch to the instructions and oh my words can’t describe how slippery this stuff is. The toys I couldn’t take before I could take instantly I was shocked. Don’t recommend using a lube shooter as can cause a hell of a slippery mess when it slowly trickles back out. Only down side now is I’ve got to spend a fortune on bigger toys lol

Great lube for anything, people like me who found to be sensitive to other brands this has no reaction at all. Easy to mix and good to store in the fridge.

Just the best personal lube for all those ‘Intimate’ times.

I was a J-Lube lover, it dealt with all that I used to throw at it, But x-lube is the best of J-Lube, with none of the drawbacks. It’s non-toxic (frankly unlike J-Lube) and is purpose-designed for those intimate times when the extra slide is needed. Unlike J-Lube (which is a veterinarian based lubricant) I can use x-lube without worrying about stains and clean up.
No more mixing hassles, just purchase a sports water bottle with a flip-up lid, fill it 3/4 full of normal tap water first and only then add two caps of x-lube to the water (unlike j-lube). Immediately replace the cap and lid to the bottle, shake for about 30 vigorously (to blend the mix) and after around 30 mins, shake again to mix the lube up and you can begin your fun times.
So much easier and less messy than j-lube and not microwave, blender or other equipment needed. A total game-changer for me.
One slight thing I have to mention whilst I’ve used x-lube:- if you find your mix dries out whilst you’re using x-lube, just make your next batch up a slight bit thinner and the lubricating properties will last that much longer.

After using J Lube for many years with all the problems that came with that lube, I eventually discovered the best way to store that one long term after mixing. I froze batches packs of disposable plastic ice cube bags. However that product still had many disadvantages.
Now I have discovered X Lube and I can honestly say it has absolutely none of the problems associated with JL. XL is so easy to mix from powder and even if mixed to stringy consistency I have noticed it is far easier to clean up after unlike JL. I haven’t had any unpleasant side effects after long sessions with even the biggest challengers in my collection.
I keep a small bottle in the fridge, which keeps longer than JL. I would recommend using plastic ice cube bags for storing in freezer which are more circular shaped in reality and easy to administer into the cavity of your choice.
