Shape is great, a bit light weight but OK however the colour red is not good for Dementia sufferer and fruits such as strawberries cannot be seen in this bowl. We now use a blue coloured bowl.

Bought for my mum who has alzheimer’s and was struggling to feed herself. Now she is able to feed herself which has boosted her confidence and independence that bit more 🙂 she also has the scoop plate and also its fantastic!

Red is supposed to encourage dementia patients to eat but I can’t say that the colour made any difference to my mother but then she hasn’t had a problem with her appetite. The bowl is brilliant the way it goes up on one side to make it easier for scooping.
Mum has detached the base from the bowl but that’s not a problem and it is made to come off and goes on very easy.
My mother can fiddle with anything and find a way of detaching one part from another. 🙂
Overall it is a great little bowl and I’ve used it in the microwave to heat the milk for her cereal without any trouble at all.
