Suffered a long time with trapped wind, since taking these tablets, which has been about 2 months now, I have never had trapped wind since. When you burp it is very minty. They are easy to swallow. Only take one a night, I have tried many peppermint supplements and teas and none do the job like these, they are strong and work great. Good price, one tub will do you the whole year.

So this is a weird review to write as the product itself did help my IBS symptoms, however they caused a huge allergic reaction. I started taking these on a Wednesday, by the Thursday I had a hive looking rash down both of my arms. I didn’t realise it was due to the capsules, so continued taking them. The rash caused huge bumps (swollen almost like mosquito bites) down both of my arms, which ended up spreading my down my side and across my chest. At first my doc thought it was a heat rash but the weather cooled, and the rash continued to increase in pain, size and location. I had a sudden light bulb moment the Monday after where I thought shit!! Maybe it’s the new peppermint capsules I’m taking, as this was the only new thing I’d changed. I did some research into it and apparently peppermint can cause really bad skin reactions due to the histamine elements. I have since stopped taking these tablets and my rash is on the way out… thankfully! I had to use steroid creams to relieve the itch – that’s how bad it got.
I’m frustrated because this helped my IBS but ultimately I could not deal with such a huge and intense rash spreading across my whole body.
So I’d defo recommend that you check if you’re allergic to peppermint oil before taking these. I’m not allergic to anything so it came as a huge surprise. The doc thinks it most likely isn’t even an allergy but purely just what the peppermint releases into your blood stream.

Should make it clear that they’re not vegetarian. But well worth the price for a lot of capsules with a high strength of peppermint oil.
