The “Aloe Vera Personal Lubrication” from OVIO is a large bottle (200ml) of intimate lubrication that comes in a well-made and handy pump dispenser.
First off, let’s talk about the pump dispenser. Having this type of lube so easy to dispense, as in you can literally get some on the go using just one hand, whilst say your other hand is busy (say with your partner) is a game changer. It can seriously disrupt the mood if you have to unscrew the top from a tube or whatever. So, pump dispensing is definitely the way forward if you ask me.
Now…onto the luuuuube itself. Now we all know KY is the leading brand name in this discreet little field. KY has been around for as long as anyone can remember. How does this stuff compare? Well, it certainly does the job it’s required to do – and it’s pretty long-lasting to boot. Slapping on a couple of fingertipfuls is all you need for a bit of added slippery, slidey fun, without any unwanted friction cropping up a minute or two after application.
With this particular product (as opposed to the original one) you have Aloe Vera added into the lube, which does provide a slight (but certainly not overpowering) fragrance. It’s a fresh and clean smell which if you have any fragrance with lube, is probably what you want. Obviously, having Aloe Vera in it provides some nice moisturising qualities to it – which you can of course use as an excuse to get frisky!
The consistency is just right. It’s thick enough for easy and simple application, without it running off everywhere, but liquid enough to be effective and spread around the desired area with ease. I’d say consistency-wise it’s on a par with KY.
All in all, my partner and I are very happy with the product. As such, we’d say it’s highly recommended.

This is a standard water-based lube except it has the addition of aloe vera. It also states there are no carbomers, paraben, palm oil or perfume present and it is vegan.
The bottle and dispenser are nice to use and look at, and work fine.
The aloe vera doesn’t make any noticeable difference during use, but adds a slight scent and mild moisturizing effect.
So if aloe is your thing or you are vegan then this would be a good water-based lube for you. At £9 the price is a little high for normal waterbased lube, but this one is of course a bit special.

Good, no issues with sensitivity or reactions, feels good in use but does get quite sticky after a short while.
Easy to wash off body and bedding without staining.

Came in a solid bottle with the pump. Working well.
Pleasant light scent. Light silky gel texture. Slightly sticky when drying out. Easy to wash off.
Kind to skin and non irritant.
Recommended.
