I’ve been taking Milk Thistle capsules for a good few years now; for acid reflux issues; which originally required me to take a months worth of high strength Milk Thistle capsules (similar to these) to build up in my system to be effective enough for me.
These are some of the best Milk Thistle capsules that I’ve taken. They help greatly to reduce my acid reflux flare-ups, that I get due to a medical condition; rather than my diet. They’re strong enough that just one a day is required to be taken; that, one a day, works perfectly well for me.
I prefer to take it first thing in the morning before breakfast. The best things about these Milk Thistle capsules that I appreciate, are that they’re high in strength, suitable for my plantbased diet (vegan), they have no flavour, and they’re very easy for me to swollow.
They’re manufactured in the UK, the tub contains 180 capsules, that’s more than enough to last a little over 5 months (20 weeks)… With that in mind; it’s current price tag of £12.99 is good value.

Take these a lot I suffer in and out of a fatty liver all milk thistle tablets do the job I always buy the strong strength though work so much better.

This is a high dose of the active part of Milk thistle – silymarin – which I find works wonders to keep the liver working well. The liver can struggle, especially if drinking much alcohol or eating rich foods. Milk thistle keeps it working nicely, I would not be without it.
You take one capsule a day – they’re fairly big but slip down easily because of the capsule coating. Nice to see minimal added extras in a capsule – the only added ingredients are rice bran and magnesium stereate.
It’s great that they’re vegan and contain none of the main allergens.
The only thing that keeps me off giving it a 5 star is that I don’t see anywhere that says it has been independently lab tested, or the equivalent authentication checks that I try to look for in my supplements. However, it’s made in the UK and it seems to be a reliable company.
At 6 months supply for the current price of £12.99 this is a great price for a quality supplement.

I swear by milk thistle, especially when I have had alcohol, this quickly starts helping the body to get rid of the toxins from alcohol and it prevents a hangover!
The only thing I find is I go to the toilet a lot after around 5 hours of them detoxing my body.
These are a bit more expensive than a leading brand in supplements but there is 180 easy to swallow capsules in this large pot.

If you have any issues with your liver (especially if you are a regular drinker) milk thistle is one of the main supplements to help protect and detoxify that organ.
I’ve been taking milk thistle for years to protect my liver even though I no longer drink. There are so many toxins in our food these days, amongst other things, it’s good to use for maintenance to make sure the liver doesn’t get overwhelmed trying to clear them from the body. Excellent along with Dandelion and Nettle when you are detoxing gently.
These capsules were a very good dosage, normal size and easy to swallow. Well sealed bottle and good expiry date!
They are also suitable for vegans and a fair price for 6 months supply at 1 a day.

Good packaging, easy to swallow, good for your liver, what’s not to like?

As a big fan of darts, I was particularly pleased to be offered 180 of these capsules. Once I have finished them, it should give a similar sense of satisfaction to that of hitting three treble twenties- for a maximum 180 score. Assuming so, I might well buy a second tub, in the hope of going on to complete a perfect leg. Following that, the problem is that I would still need to source a tub of 141 capsules, in order to finish the leg on a grand total of 501. Actually it would be better if they sold them in 169s (equivalent to treble twenty, treble nineteen, bull). That way, getting through three tubs would be similar to the most stylish way to finish a perfect leg of darts.
Anyway, that has nothing to do with milk thistle. I had never encountered the stuff before. To be clear, it is milk thistle and not thistle milk. As an omnivore, I’m rather tired of hearing about the likes of almond milk, oat milk and soy milk etc. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if they also started appropriating lactate by pressing out the rather spiky Scottish flowers. Nevertheless, this is milk thistle. I don’t know for sure whether that’s just a regular Scottish thistle that is kept hydrated with dairy instead of water. If so, then I certainly wouldn’t recommend the product to vegans. As it stands, however, I don’t know whether that’s how they produce this and neither do I much care. As far as I’m concerned, it wouldn’t matter if they also cracked a couple of eggs into the soil and rubbed some squirty cream into the leaves. Anyhow, the point of the product is to cleanse your liver. When starting out, I can’t say that I had felt that my liver was significantly dirty to begin with. However, after a couple of weeks of use, I think it feels just a little cleaner. Not so much as if it had been scoured vigorously with a caustic detergent upon a brillo pad, mind. The feeling is more akin to a brief wiping over with a gentle hypo-allergenic soap and a natural sea sponge. If your liver has any slight blemishes then it should come out spotless.
