Excellent build quality from a trusted brand.
I would not recommend using it for longer pile carpets though.
It can become very difficult to push

We bought this from Amazon Warehouse. The hoover looked great. There was no evidence of being used apart from missing original box. No scratches.
This is our fourth Miele. This is definitely most silent. We are very happy with it. The children don’t mind
being told to hoover as this is east to use. Not cumbersome like the Dyson Animal.

Very powerful vacuum . my wife uses it for hoovering our front room and stairs . We have a large dog who covers our carpets in dog hairs does a great job

Positives:
– Very strong build
– Very power suction
– Large capacity for bags, cleaned the entire house 4 times and the first bag is still going
Negatives
– Only one negative, you can’t just pull off the brush or the pipe to to the stairs with a hose, you have to unclick it and this slows down the cleaning process.
Overall probably the most well built and powerful vacuum cleaner I have ever owned. I have owned Dyon, Vax etc in the past but none of them come close to this in terms of power.

I had a Miele vacuum prior to this and it sadly died one day but not due to the harsh terrain it had to deal with – 5 adults, a dog, 4 cats, chickens, rabbits and the rest – but because someone forgot to pull out all the cable when using it, it got too hot and blew the engine. And that warning was in the manual, so not Miele’s fault. Our cleaner had battled away and given a stellar result for over ten years. BUT these cleaners are unbreakable if you use them properly and are designed to give 20 years of service which I (and some friends who also have Mieles) can certainly agree with.
The Germans know how to do engines and machinery and Miele are market leaders for a reason. After having bought one I’ll never buy another brand. For the slight increase in cost, overall you’re getting a machine that will last and will never reduce in performance over those years.
So this new to me model was a slight upgrade on my last – and wow. So quiet, even on the highest setting! I haven’t been able to use it at anything higher than the 3rd speed of 6 because the 3rd is giving me so much suction power there’s no need. It reassures me that there’s plenty more power to use should I need it. Fantastic.
It’s not especially light but that to me is a good thing as there’s some serious machinery tucked away inside it and it gives it some solidity to it, so it’s stable and won’t go flying off anywhere on its own. Even with this, you can trust Miele to attach the most smooth and slippery castors so manoeuvrability is top notch. It’s extremely easy to move and with 8.50m of cable length there’s a lot less need to go back and forth to unplug and plug in to different spots around the house. Really useful touch.
This model comes with both a standard head and an amazing turbo head (both suck at full power right up to the edges of their heads unlike some cleaners – so nice to not have to get out the crevice tool for this type of thing!) which I never had before that really beats the carpet with its internal roller head and brings up more dirt, especially hair which can sometimes be hard to get hold of. Cleaning it is a bit of a faff – you have to cut through the hair with scissors to get it off the roller – I think Miele should look at finding a way around this but for now I can live with it. Watch out with the turbo brush though, it literally sucks in everything it gets close to (including your own hair) so don’t raise it off the ground if you use it, Miele warn very clearly about this.
This cleaner also comes with a mini turbo head brush so you can use the same power brush action to lift up dirt on awkward jobs like stairs or carpets in cars and it works exactly the same as the large turbo brush.
Another upgrade for me from my last model is that all the parts are now kept tucked away in the body of the cleaner whereas before they balanced on the outside of it. I really like that. Nice and tidy and accessible.
Finally, Miele have simplified the way the cleaner is used, from the foot operated buttons to switch it on and off, on the opposite side the button to retract the cable (literally one tap will bring the whole length in rather than you having to stand on the button until it’s finished), at a glance lights illuminating which suction level you’re using, the click system to attach heads and extensions, the sliding mechanism to extend the cleaner arm (so easy! so smooth!), even the sliding vent in the arm moves well too. As before the bag replacement operation is a doddle and clean to do (some cleaner manufacturers’ bags give you a puff of dirt as you remove the bag but Miele bags have a little flap that stops that – aren’t they the best?!), filter replacement is simple and when it’s job is done, you can pack your cleaner away either flat with the arm slotted in at the base of the unit or even upright and the arm slotted into the side of the unit.
If you buy this Miele cleaner or probably any of them you won’t be disappointed!
Oh one more thing, for a vacuum cleaner, it’s also a beautiful looking item. Very sleek, stylish and modern! Enjoy!

This is my second Miele vacuum cleaner. Not as powerful as my old 2200 watt Mielewhich is still working perfectly after 15 years!
I bought this lighter model for upstairs and it’s perfect for my needs. Light weight, good cord length and easy to manage.

Does what it says, powerful, good suction and my second Miele, wouldn’t buy anything else.
