I have been suffering with ear blockage for 5 days. My ear was going from blocked to open on and off throughout the day. Day 3 it was entirely blocked, no sounds at all, very concerned. I went to the Doctors who confirmed i had a lot of wax in my ear he couldnt see my drum. I was recommended olive oil drops which i used for 2 days. I then booked in for a syringe, but i was so desperate to sort this out myself i came to Amazon and here i am post syringing… what can i say other than wow, it was done within 5 minutes, ears unblocked and it feels amazing. I’m back to my normal self, worry and stress free and able to HEAR. Highly recommended, but do use olive oil softener for 1 or 2 days a few times a day to completely soften the wax before use, it just fell out.

My ears are wax magnets, and I’ve previously got them sorted at my GPs. They don’t do ut anymore and several private companies are charging £60 for both ears. Instead I bought this not expecting too much. Used open drops for 4 days beforehand, then used this system. I found it best not to overfill the syringe, as it needs quite a bit of pressure to be effective, but after 4 syringes full, the wax started to come out. Not the obscene amounts seen at the GPs previously, but plenty. I’ll use drops again for a few days to soften remaining wax and go again.
Well packaged in gas sterilised atmosphere, sturdy design, works well.
Highly recommended.

Just as many people below (above?) this review, I can confirm- the syringe does work! I lost hearing in my ear overnight, suddenly. I tried Otex drops for 3 days, after which Ive ordered the syringe as there was no improvement.
Got it out on my first use, but not first syringe. I actually used a whole bowl of water (about 5 syringes), nothing, then had a bath (pro tip: do it in bathtub, wax and water goes EVERYWHERE), and tried again. Got it out first try after bath.
I followed all the advice and also didnt get dizzy. It doesnt hurt, even if you press really hard (I did!). Used a thermometer to makes sure water is 38-39 degrees. And then had to cancel my doctor appointment which was in an hour. They were not happy, haha! But glad I got it sorted myself.
+++ side effect:
Once my clogged right ear got clean I can now hear better in it than the other one. I shall start soaking in drops and irrigate my left ear in two-three days. It really does make you feel like you have super-hearing suddenly!
Couldnt be happier, 10 out of 5!

I woke up one morning after using foam earplugs and noticed that my hearing was muffled, likely from pushing the wax further in to my ear. I tried ear drops for three days with no luck, bought this product to try the following day and worked with no issues!
I highly recommend using drops in the ear for a few days to soften any wax as it makes it so much easier to clean but my ears were all cleared out within about five syringe uses!

Does what it says on the box, saves trying to get a practice nurse to do it.

Washin out my ears

My GP had a quick look and confirmed that both ears were blocked with wax. She said they no longer did syringing at the GP practice and that you can pay private clinics but that her husband had recently unblocked his own ears with a low cost kit bought online. No photo of me doing it, as I sat in the bath to use it! I had a big saucepan of warm 39C water (measured with a meat thermometer) and drew water in through the syringe nozzle maybe 10 times to do both ears. It’s quite a pull to fill the syringe and I found it easier, doing it all myself (whilst my wife cleaned the oven), to only half fill it each time. That made exerting a steady pressure easier when squirting the 4 jets into each ear. It felt safe, sticking the nozzle into my ears and the conical design of the tip seems like an effective idea, stopping it gpoing too deep. I didn’t feel at all dizzy and I think using water the correct temperaure is probably important. I’d used an oily ear cleaning spray to soften the wax for a few days and it came out, into a small bowl I held by my ear, in lots of small pieces and I just poured it down the bath drain. I’m not sure if all the wax is out but I can certainly hear much better now.
