I have aging eyes – glaucoma and severe dry eye. Sometimes I suffer from eye pain. I use over the counter drops for eyes and the astaxanthin to help with these issues. There are subtle improvements: less strain and slightly less blurry vision. I have only taken these for 2 weeks but there are studies that show benefits from this antioxidant for longer periods.

I bought this at the recommendation of a friend who stated it works for joint and muscle aches. He used to sell supplements and he said he only believes in a couple. Astaxanthin (specifically Sport Research) being one of them. He told me the astaxanthin would take about a month to kick in. I took 24mg a day for three weeks. Then like some mystical magic, my eyesight changed. Everything seemed brighter and crisper. I told my friend who recommended astaxanthin, and he said better eyesight was a side effect (at the time I started taking these, the company did not make any claim to better eyesight). More importantly, my knee pain seemed to lessen over time and the creaking noise they made disappeared. I definitely recommend these to everyone I know.

I will be 80 years old this month and I have found this supplement to make a profound difference in how I feel. It helps joint pain as well as helps build up immune systems. With all the benefits found in the following study you can’t go wrong with this product. I have used other supplements from this company and they are very reputable and safe. Study found Astaxanthin was 6,000 times stronger than vitamin C, 800 times stronger than CoQ10, 550 times stronger than green tea catechins and 75 times stronger than alpha lipoic acid.

Heard about Astaxanthin on the AM radio and decided to give it a try. So far so good! I have noticed less knee pain and a general feeling of wellbeing. I am only about 3-weeks into my trial, taking 1 pill per day. I feel this may improve past sun damage, but so far there is no proof. I would suggest taking this for the pain relief, but keep in mind it takes a week or so before you will start to realize there is less pain.

I read about this supplement 3 years ago in a health newsletter and researched the uses. In my 60’s and retired, I was looking for something to add energy and stamina so that I could enjoy the rest of my life. I found that I had less joint pain and was able to volunteer to do a summer’s worth of touch-up painting on walls, doors, poles, etc at a local school. I don’t want to be without this product. It protects eyesight and I like to write and paint on canvas, which would be impossible if I lost my sight. One of the things Amazon was asking for a rating for – on this product is sun protection. I use to burn since I have fair skin color. I haven’t had that problem since I started taking Astaxanthin, though I also use sunscreen. Great product
