These are tasty chewable tablets that help to process your meal. Important bit omitted from the label: Digest Plus contains 329 mg calcium phosphate per tablet.
I was taking it before breakfast, unaware of the calcium content and this was blocking the absorption of my thyroid medicine. I only recently noticed it as an ingredient, so asked the manufacturer to disclose this info.
If you’re concerned about drug interactions, it’s better to separate this product by several hours from other medicines (6-12 hours for thyroid hormone!)

I have had just the acidophilus by this brand and found it okay these however have me a headache.

I am medically diagnosed by Endoscopy as a Coeliac, and I am lactose intolerant. A number of my medications contain lactose monohydrate, and too much lactose can bring me out in hives and zits and can have an negative effect on my `motions’ and stomach gripes ! So far these tablets seem to help, and they have a pleasant, slightly peppermint, taste. I have ordered some more.

I bought this because I suffer from food intolerance to quite a few common foodstuffs. Dairy, eggs, wheat and yeast being some. These are very difficult to avoid as manufacturers put them in most foods. Digest plus seems to have helped with the worst of the heartburn and acid reflux I experience, although I still rely on prescription drugs for this at times. I have also found that my IBS has improved dramatically. I think this must be because Digest plus also contains acidophilus, which kills bad bacteria in the gut which thrives on undigested food. I couldn’t eat this before because it is found in yoghurt, which I can’t eat. I still have to be careful, but I am very pleased with the results so far.

These didnt work at all for me, intact ot has caused me more problems, im on Omperazole now. These enzymes created too much acid.

My daughter has had long term issues with digestive and bowel issues. Her prescribed meds sometimes need extra help. Along with additional probiotics these are certainly helping and hopefully going some way to counteracting the side-effect of her meds and long term conditions. I recommend as a more affordable option.
