This is an easy to use grass seed product. I find the aqua gel system provides a good, fast growing grass. We put a swimming pool up in our garden for the summer and so we are always left with a rectangle “mud” pool print once it is dismantled. I simply sprinkle this grass seed down and hey presto – the grass is back within a couple of weeks! I do spray water to ensure the seeds don’t dry out and I also sprinkle compost over the top – mainly to stop the birds from eating it! I do find that you need to sprinkle a lot of it to get a lovely dense lawn, so maybe go up a size from what you’d think based on the manufacturer’s guide.

It didn’t appear to be any faster than regular grass seed, despite careful ground preparation, use of fertiliser and daily watering. Eventually it produced a lawn. One star knocked off the overall rating due to the exaggerated claim of being fast growing.

Always cynical about these products but gor me this one really worked. I have a very big lawned area ( about 500 sq metres) which I do look after reasonably well. Last years drought did a lot of harm and at start of this year it still looked tired and patch. Now it’s looking great again after about 3 weeks. The greenness is all back and I hope that longer term it toughens up the roots like it says it will. I will use again before autumn

Bought this as my “grass” was mainly moss. Raked out the moss, sprinkled the seed and 3 to 4 weeks laterr new grass appeared. It is the most beautiful shade of green and I would highly recommend this product.

Grows ok but not at all fast germination, took weeks to grow

This was a brand new lawn started from scratch. This was originally all paved over and we removed the slabs and added top soil and seed.
I have tried some cheaper stuff which didn’t really do much. I put this seed down around March/April and even though we had those cold frost nights this followed through. You can see there are still a few patches which I blame on the birds.
Spread the seed around evenly and then added a small amount of top soil and rake over. Water a couple of times a day, I recommend in the morning and evening and before you know it you will have grass! 🙂

The birds seem to enjoy them.
But seem to be coming through now, after three weeks.
Too early to say, how lush they will be.
Am prepared for some areas to require reseeding.
