Having been told I had cataracts three weeks ago at a fairly young age, I researched alternatives to cataract surgery. I found many mentions of the anti oxidant found in these drops but opinions seem to be divided as to the effectiveness. I decided that really I had very little to lose, as my left eye had become next to useless over lockdown and my right eye was compensating for it, and brought a pack of these drops. I started the drops straight away one drop morning and one drop at night thinking it may take some time to notice any difference, if any. However by day three I was sure it wasn’t my imagination but my left eye was becoming clearer. This improvement has continued slowly but surely. I am nearly a week in now and there is still some way to go for perfect sight in that eye but I am now hopeful that it will get close but am taking any improvement as a win. The cataract I have in that eye that has been causing me problems is a posterior sub capsular cataract.

I couldn’t use them they made my eyes sting and itch. I persevered but gave up in the end. I’m very sensitive to products so probably fine for most people

I was developing a cataract and started using these eye drops. Just had a diabetic eye screening test. My eyes were clear and the thing had disappeared completely. What got rid of it is not fully know. Am on cancer treatment first Chemo with Immunology and now the second alone. Read these can actually cause the problem but not get rid of it. Next is a change of diet to eliminate all but natural sugar, any effect is unknown. Now we have the eye drops, did they help get rid of it maybe. All I know is it is gone!!!

I have just received my order, so sorry I cannot comment on efficacy.
However I would advise people wanting to try NAC to search other sources for this remedy, for a better priced product that’s packaged in a more ergonomic dispenser. Given that the cost is relatively high for something that relies a lot on customer faith to try, the dispensing bottle is first of all poor, and packaged without thought.
A proper glass dropper bottle would deliver the dose without waste. In addition Why put 2x5ml plastic bottles, (which are not easy to squeeze the correct dose from), in a box with greater design space but which has information/directions in SUCH MINUTE lettering for a product intended for people with poor eyesight? A waste of packaging and poorly considered graphics!
A 10 ml well designed size would be more economical and sustainable.
(Manufacturers might consider making a single 5ml trial size in case people have sensitivity to it, but a standard larger size that comes in an ergonomic dropper bottle would ensure dosing was efficient. Given that one has to use NAC possibly for many months for satisfactory results a larger bottle would make sense, (as would recyclable material).
I transferred the liquid to a 10ml recycled glass dropper bottle I sterilised.
If NAC has any sucess with my symtoms in future I will buy alternative, better priced product available elsewhere.
The trader should forward this feedback to manufacturers.

I have not used NAC regularly but spasmodically, due to neglect of self care with lockdown depression. This may be the reason I have not experienced any very positive results. to report. I had an eye test today and the most affected eye went from 3.50 to 3.75 prescription lens. The optician said cataract would need operatiing in a few years! (Which is optimistic given the underfunded and overstretched state of the NHS), however the discouraging prognosis lead me to search alternative solutions once again and back to this listed product.

My eyes were bothering me itchy at tone dry at times and watery at other times sensitive my night vision was getting poor so studied all reviews as you cant take Chances with your eyes… and these were amazing after a month I really could tell the difference and my prescription glasses actually improved as well as my night vision I would highly recommend… they are pricey but at the same time not as stingy as some other drops I will buy them again

These are mild and gentle, good but more for maintenance than improving the situation with my dog’s cataracts. I’m trying something stronger now.

We got these drops for our dog Lily. Her eyes were starting to Mist over and she was having trouble seeing. She’s also going deaf. So we had the option of surgery, which at her age would not be a good idea. Surgery costs: 1 eye £2,500 or both eyes £4,000. You would do anything for your pets, so I looked for an alternative, and I found a number of products but after some time researching them I picked Can-C. After just the first drop in each eye, Lily changed! for the better!! We could see she could see much better, and now she has a everning routine of a garden walk, by herself, for about 5-10mins, and she likes laying by the patio doors looking out at the world. We are soooooooooo happy with Can-C. Just Love It !!

I cannot review the actual effect of the drops as I began only this morning. However, the method of dispensing the actual drops is probably the most bizarre I have seen in a very long time. The lid first must be removed, then the ring, then the lid put back on, twisted so that it creates a hole in the top of the plastic bottle, and if you are very careful you will be able to dispense just one drop. I think I must have three drops come out all at once. The design needs some very serious review. I have used many drops in the past and by far the best method are the ones that ‘Evolve’ use. A measured drop only ever comes out of their droppers so that mistakes with too many drops can never happen. So, I hope the manufacturers of Can-C take this on board. After all, the drops are expensive enough and to have a second rate method of dispensing is apalling.
I shall submit an updated review in a few weeks time regarding the effectiveness of the drops.
