This allows elderly relatives or friends to simply call their nearest and dearest at the click of a button by recognising a friendly face. There is no need to remember or search through old phone books to allow them to get hold of their close ones.
- BIG BUTTONS – The memory buttons and dialling keys are all extra large, displaying photos and numbers. Ideal for the visually impaired or unsteady hands of any older relatives or friends in need of a bit of extra help.
- EXTRA LOUD RINGER – This home telephone has an adjustable ringer volume that can be increased up to 90 db. Not sure how loud that is? - HEARING AID COMPATIBLE – The BigTel 40 plus is also compatible with a large range of hearing aids, meaning the phone can be heard from anywhere within the home.

I recently purchased this for my mother who needed a new housephone that was more suitable for an older person, this has some good options, the main one for my mother being the volume control with her hearing not being what it once was, it also has other options that make it easier for her to contact close family members without having press individual numbers or look them up in her diary which doesn’t sound like much but is for people with certain disabilities or someone who can’t get used to using a mobile phone

I got this for my 93-year-old, hard-of-hearing grandparent. It was really easy to set up, I just put our initials in the little speed-dial boxes instead of our pictures and they have had no problems working the phone at all so far. It’s got a loud ringer, the line quality is great and it’s a really solid unit. Highly recommend it for a senior! much better than other senior phones we have tried out there.

I bought this for a relative with dementia, who couldn’t use a phone at all. The phone was easy to install and set up. Now I get daily calls from my relative which gives her a bit of independence and gives me peace of mind as I know she can contact me if she needs me. Great phone!

I bought one of these for my 89 year old mum. She was getting more and more forgetful and struggled to remember and even dial important phone numbers. The 6 programmable buttons are great. They can be set up to automatically dial a number when they are pushed and you can add the photograph of the person being called. It made a huge difference to her and stopped her fearing using the phone. I ended up buying her a 2nd one as it was so good. Great product.

The volume was not as lod as I had hoped for my partially deaf elderly father to hear easily – but he uses the speed dial buttons very well. He can now quickly contact the family on their mobiles which has been invaluable for allowing him to contact us all quickly – this function was so much easier for him and he uses it all the time now.
He does n’t have to look up long mobile numbers from an address book – we’ve tried him with a mobile but that was not successful unfortunately.
