Good alternative to energy drinks, much cheaper and quite convenient. Dissolves well, seems to be working the same, recommended.

My son has been testing these out – he’s gaming mad and has also just started a medical course at uni. If anyone could do with a little extra energy, then it’s definitely him.

These seem to be aimed at the gaming market and I suppose if you’re a die hard gamer who’s up all night then these could well be beneficial. However, they’re just as well suited to anyone needing an extra boost regardless of whether you’re a gamer or not.

I like the fact that these also contain B vitamins, which I know are especially beneficial for maintaining a good metal health. If you’re going to use energy supplements, then I guess it’s better if there are at least some health benefits to taking them.

You get 2 tubes of soluble tablets ( each tube contains 20 tablets ), and these are billed as energy flavour. I have absolutely no idea what energy tastes like, but apparently it’s like these tablets.

Tablets need to be dissolved in water, either 1 or 2 tablets depending on your requirements and I’ve been told that they taste really nice. I’m almost tempted to give them a try myself – maybe they can give me a boost with the housework.

My son seems pleased with them and says that he does feel more energised. Of course this could be a placebo effect, but either way he’s happy and breezing through his uni work.

A good alternative to regular energy drinks, with added B vitamins – not just for gamers though!

I use these before and during the gym it’s not like a pre workout or massive energy boost it just gives you a little extra energy to get through it I drink one before the gym and then drop one tablet in my gym water bottle with a scoop of creatine, it basically tastes like a watered down non fizzy red bull, for the price they seem good value although I have used better products in the past at a similar value, I do however have quite a high caffeine tolerance therefore you may be affected differently I would personally try half a tablet to begin with and gage what your tolerance is, for the price these are worth a try

I’ve had a few similar effervescent tablets.

I use these as more of a rehydration aid than anything else.

These need to be mixed 1 tablet for 200ml / 2 tablets for 400ml.

Wasn’t sure what the flavour would be “energy”??? What does energy taste like

As soon as I smelled it the penny dropped, it’s energy drink flavour, like redbull. Mixed to the 1 tab to 200ml ratio I found the taste ok (on the mild side) but a little sweet.

Had I known / thought about the flavour I might not have bothered – not a fan of redbull type of drinks. If you do mix it stronger I found it too much.

Interestingly the noise two tablets of these made in a sports bottle (without the lid screwed on) as they fizzed away in 200ml of water, reminded me of 1980s laser shooting game noises. They seem noisier dissolving than other effervescent tablets.

The drink is slightly fizzy but not overly so. As for the energy taste. I suppose it does have a mild flavour which I can only say just tastes a bit sweet. It is palatable.

Two tablets provide 100mg of caffeine which should certainly somewhat perk most people up. Depending on their caffeine tolerance. I found this product did give me additional focus and bit of an energy boost but certainly no jitters or anything detrimental. If you are very sensitive to caffeine or unsure, try taking one tablet dissolved in 100ml of water first, to be on the safe side.

Although marketed for gamers to get an edge in their gameplay, this product can be used by anyone seeking a pick-me-up during their day. Whether that would be for overcoming an afternoon slump or as a pre-workout boost. Although the pre-workouts most people take usually contain far higher amounts of caffeine.

Having tubes of this takes up far less space than having a bunch of canned energy drinks. Plus the tablets don’t need refrigerating before being consumed.

Two tubes at the current price of £9.99 works out 50p per two tablet serving. Which is likely to be cheaper than a canned energy drink. It is also possible to purchase 4 or 6 tubes (£14.99 and £17.99 at the time this review was done) which works out far better value per 2 tablet serving (37p and 30p with the stated purchase prices).

I got these for nights i’m staying up either for work or gaming.

They arrive in 2 tubes with a rubber pop lid. They’re very easy to make, just plop 1 tablet into a glass of 200ml of water and let it fizz away until it is all dissolved.

When disolved it’s easy to drink and does have that sweet taste of an energy drink. It’s a very unique flavour and i can only describe it as tasting like an energy drink. Depending on your taste you’ll either love it or hate it. I do have a sweet tooth and i liked it.

In terms of effect and content. This is an energy drink with caffeine and vitamins to encourage energy utilisation from food. There’s not a huge amount of caffeine per serving (100mg) which is just a touch more than a cup of coffee, or 2 cups of tea. They are sugar free though. Personally it gave me a bit of a lift but ussualy i drink a lot of coffee so i didn’t notice a big difference. If you don’t normally drink high caffeine products it will give you more of a kick.

Value wise, compared to a tinned energy drink with similar content these are much better value and they store easily to taking up much less space than 40 energy drinks.

Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful.
