This is a wonderful bit of kit but….and it’s a big but….for a clock aimed at elderly folk and / or those with Alzheimer’s/ memory problems it’s a real shame it doesn’t automatically update itself when the clocks change.
My parents are in a home and by luck I managed to talk a care assistant through updating the clock over the phone.
Think I’ll have to look for another clock which auto updates…

Unfortunately, most of us buying these and leaving reviews do so because our relatives are struggling with times and days and dates. It is so sad, but we do what we can to help them to try to be a bit more organised, and take some of the confusion out of their day. This clock has proved to be of assistance for my dad, and he did greatly appreciate it’s introduction in the house. He never said he needed it, but we knew he did, those familiar with the signs know what I mean. The day of the week, the time, month and date are all very clear. I’m not sure if there is significance with them sometimes, but he does now at the very least have the reference constantly there.
If you do need to unplug it, it keeps the time that has been inputted. I haven’t used the planner on it, as I don’t feel my father would cope with any extra detail at this stage. But, as I say, he can refer to it at any stage of his day to help him if required. Thanks, and my thoughts are with you who are finding their way in helping their relatives to find their’s.

This is my favourite alarm clock. It reminds me of the date and time, and my medication times, so i don’t miss a dose.
I haven’t got dementia, but my memory is poor lately. This helps a lot.

Bought for my daughter’s bedroom; very clear and helpful telling not only the time of day, but the day and month as well. Mounted on the wall it’s done the job very well.
After a year and a half – it’s out of warranty and the screen has failed; which somewhat ruins the value of what is quite an expensive clock.

It’s a really bright clock. We have it in kitchen and at night it glows really brightly. Keep this in mind if buying for bedroom. On think that causes confusion is the Day of the week and where it day night or morning / evening. At 00.00 midnight when it goes to the following day the clock has caused confusion. It will say Thursday night (because its after midnight on Wednesday) but this is a constant cause of confusion for elderly in the house. They don’t go to bed early!!! Otherwise its perfect. Haven’t used the USB to out pictures on it yet. Just the clock. Ps. It doesn’t automatically update with Daylight savings time.

I was looking for something for my elderly parents to help remind them of their daily tasks and would brighten their day. The idea we could add personal reminders and photos was the driver in purchasing the product. The clock was ordered and delivered in excellent time and well packaged and presented. The instruction booklet provided clear instructions well laid out and problem solving and contact details included within it.I loaded up a usb stick ( not provided ) with personal messages from the grandchildren and pictures of them, saving them in mp3 format, as per instructions. The menu on the clock is easy to navigate, and changing settings is easy to follow,
Once I had decided on colour and layout of the clock interface required, I then added the usb stick and programmed the personal alarms to the times I required. I did have some questions at this point and contacted the seller as per the instruction manual. They responded promptly and answered my questions.The clock was now set up and ready to be installed at my parents home, you can unplug the clock from the mains and move it to another location and plug it in again and the information is stored and is ready to go again.My parents are very happy with the clock and has made a difference with personal reminders and photo’s popping up, they feel even more in contact with us in these troubled times. The messages are easy to change on the usb stick and also to add and remove pictures. My parents like the idea they can see the time, date etc in a large format and all in one place.Alarm times can be set to last for 15,30,45 and 60 second intervals, you can also use the preset alarm reminders so you have lots of choice on what the need etc.
